Grandfather to many, you were the father we never had
That's why your passing is especially sad

You took so many of us under your wing
Without ever really saying a thing

Just quietly maintaining such strength and composure
We were all left needing some kind of closure

A tragic loss which leaves pain in our hearts
When someone so loved, suddenly departs

A beautiful person who was generous and kind
Leaving such a great legacy behind

As you look down on us like a bright shining star
